Washington, D.C. – Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) released the following statement on the passage of omnibus appropriations legislation:

“I support this bipartisan compromise, because funding our government and keeping it running is an essential duty of Congress,” said Congressman Paulsen. “By making smart, targeted investments in our military and border security, reforming the IRS, and fighting the nation’s opioid epidemic, this plan fulfills important priorities of the American people without jeopardizing our future. I’m also pleased to see increased NIH funding for research for diseases such as Alzheimer’s and antibiotic resistance, two areas I have focused on for several years.”  

Congressman Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
